25-S-0741 - Proceeding on Motion of the Commission as to the Rates, Charges, Rules and Regulations of Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. for Steam Service.
Overview
Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. (CECONY or the Company) is requesting an increase in annual steam revenue of approximately $66 million, which results in customers’ delivery bills increasing by 11.5 percent and an overall increase to customers’ bills by 8.9 percent.
The major drivers of the requested increase are steam capital investments, the financing costs of those investments, and updated sales forecast. CECONY states that the revenue request will fund core investments needed to keep the steam system safe and reliable and decarbonization projects that will reduce customers’ carbon footprint.
