Cost of Service: Tech conference regarding the marginal cost of service studies

Conference Information

DPS staff will convene a technical conference on October 1, 2024, starting at 10 a.m., in the 19th Floor Board Room of the Department’s office located at Three Empire State Plaza, Albany, NY. The purpose of the conference is to discuss how to calculate costs for informing Locational System Relief Value (LSRV) and the Demand Reduction Value (DRV) pricing considerations for Value Stack compensation. Attendance will also be possible via WebEx or telephone, by using the following:

Case 15-E-0751 - In the Matter of the Value of Distributed Energy Resources.

On August 19, 2024, the Public Service Commission (Commission) issued the Order Addressing Marginal Cost of Service Studies.1 Recognizing that additional process is needed to inform any determinations on pricing issues related to the Locational System Relief Value (LSRV) and the Demand Reduction Value (DRV) elements of the Commission’s Value of Distributed Energy Resources Value Stack Compensation, the Commission directed Department of Public Service staff (DPS staff) to convene a technical conference with stakeholders.
